Tran & Steven’s love story began at the age of six, growing up in the same neighbourhood, attending the same kindergarten and starting school together. Moving schools and houses the childhood friends grew apart and lost contact. It wasn’t until through their mothers and mutual friends they both reconnected and then started darting in the first year of University. Weeks before Steven proposed to Tran, Tran and her best friend just for fun, went wedding dress shopping. And needless to say fell in love with a Caleche gown, but left it at that. To Tran’s surprise a short time later, and a stroll through the Botanic Gardens, Steven proposed! It was exactly one year on from the day which Tran had first tried on the beautiful gown, which she then bought wore on her wedding day!
It was the classic white elegance of the Caleche gown that was the inspiration for the Wedding Day. Inspiration not only came from the dress but also a real focus on as a couple what was special to them! A lot of time was spent on Etsy to find unique and customised items. Tran & Steven made their own stationary and invitations, something which both of them really wanted to do.
Tran & Steven also wanted a unique venue, something intimate and unlike anything else in Adelaide. The Ballroom provided the elegance of a beautiful, romantic ceremony and The Conservatory provided a unique atmosphere for the Reception, a room which Tran & Steven knew they could celebrate their love on a balmy summer’s evening. The amazing work of Scott Goh captured the smiles of all the guest. The couple honeymooned in Paris, Barcelona & Italy.
